NAUDERO: Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that his life’s main purpose is to accomplish a mission that former PPP chairwoman Benazir Bhutto unfortunately left unfinished.
He said this to a delegation led by Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, Toor Khan, Khan Zaman, Gulbadin Wazir, Sharafat Abbasi, Zulfiqar Ali and others from Peshawar, Upper Deer, Malakand, North Waziristan, Muzaffarabad, Chakwal and Gilgit.
The delegations condoled with Zardari and paid rich tribute to Benazir. They said that Benazir had weakened the Gorbachevs of Pakistan by sacrificing her life, and generations will always remember her as the Queen of the Indus Valley.
Zardari told the delegation that PPP’s primary purpose for calling a UN investigation into Benazir’s murder was to establish the identity of the attacker(s) and motive behind the assassination. “Thus a UN probe would help us greatly to save the integrity of the country and point out the forces that want to disintegrate Pakistan,” he added.
Several hundred people from various parts of the country continue to visit Naudero -Benazir’s hometown - and place floral wreaths on her mausoleum. nni
