In a statement on social media, Nick, 42, said that despite their “complicated relationship,” his love for Aaron, 34, had “never ever faded.”

On Sunday night in London, Nick’s band performed a song with a special tune devoted to the younger Carter.

On Saturday, Aaron’s body was discovered in his California home. The reason for death has not yet been made public.

That day, a statement from the late singer’s management confirmed the news and promised to provide additional details as soon as they become available.

The singer of I Want Candy was discovered dead by cops, according to US media.

As the Backstreet Boys’ opening act in the late 1990s, Carter, a former child star, amassed a massive amount of album sales.

American boy band member Nick, who is his brother, posted the following statement online: “I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know.”

His post recognised that there had been some friction between them; ultimately, the senior Carter obtained a restraining order against the younger Carter in 2019.

Nick remarked: “Addiction and mental illness are the real villains here,” alluding to Aaron’s well-known troubles, which reportedly included several visits to rehab.

Kevin Richardson, another Backstreet Boys member, was seen addressing the news during a concert that took place on Sunday night in a video released online.

He said that the band had “heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday” to the audience at London’s The 02 venue.

Richardson thanked his supporters in the video, which was uploaded by the reviews website All That Dazzles.

Nick Carter was comforted by his bandmates and then the group sang Breath with a special performance for their late traveling partner.

In memory of the singer, other celebrities like Paris Hilton, Tyler Hilton, Hilary Duff, and the bands New Kids on the Block and *NSYNC have shared messages on social media.

Sad to hear about the news of @aaroncarter ???? He was always kind to my family and I. He had a good heart. Gone way too soon. ????Sending my thoughts and condolences to his loved ones and family. RIP ????
