According to India Today, it’s a girl for Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

For the delivery on Sunday morning, the renowned couple was seen arriving at Mumbai’s Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

On Alia’s Instagram, the couple’s first child’s birth was also announced. A recent post on the photo-sharing site states, “Our baby girl is here, and what a magical girl she is. This is the happiest news of our life. We are now brimming with love. blessed parents who are obsessed!”

Mahesh Bhatt, Alia’s father and a well-known director, had previously expressed his happiness at the impending birth of his first grandchild.

“Waiting for the rising of a new sun. A sparkling dew drop of life,” he told. Back in June, Alia unexpectedly shocked the entire world by announcing her pregnancy. She had captioned a photo of an ultrasound that she had shared, “Our baby….. coming soon.” Only a few months had passed since Ranbir and Alia’s marriage.

The two recently hosted a baby shower in their Vastu home in Mumbai’s Pali Hill neighbourhood, where guests included Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt, Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, cousin Karisma Kapoor, and Shammi Kapoor’s wife Neila Devi.

The two got married this year at the same place, Vastu.

The duo has had a successful year at work, with Brahmastra reviving Ranbir’s flagging career and Gangubai Kathiawadi strengthening Alia’s well-deserved reputation as a talented actor.

The couple married in April of this year.
