Bad memory can cause a variety of issues in anyone’s life. While forgetting your wallet at home or forgetting where you put your keys may not seem like a big deal, a bad memory may create severe problems in life.

Those who have memory problems suffer personally, professionally, and in their relationships. According to a study, a relatively simple game might help many people with memory issues.

A memory-improving game, in the opinion of a Columbia University professor of psychiatry and neurology, can help individuals stop forgetting things.

The concept is not necessarily new. Science has supported several brain exercises that have been shown to improve memory among other brain functions. There are also other memory training methods available.

The recent study focuses on a game that may be played with breakfast every morning. Crossword puzzles, an age-old game, have been shown to significantly boost memory.

Researchers divided a large group of experiment participants into two groups. One group was tasked with playing computer groups, while the other was tasked with doing crossword puzzles.

After weeks of testing, researchers discovered that individuals who did crossword puzzles performed considerably better on memory tasks. They had made gains in memory and other cognitive functions.

As a result, the study indicated that crossword puzzles may be used as a memory game.

Dr Devanand, one of the study’s authors, stated that their study was the first to document the benefits of the home-based crossword puzzle.

“This is the first study to show that home-based crossword puzzle training has both short-term and long-term effects when compared to another intervention.” “He stated.

“The results are significant considering the challenges in showing improvement with interventions in mild cognitive impairment.” “He added.
