Terrorists opened fire on a military convoy in the vicinity of Hassan Khel in the first incident, according to a news release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, the ISPR spokesperson said, “On June 5, 2022, security forces launched intelligence-based operations (IBOs) on the reported presence of terrorists in Jani Khel, Bannu district, and Hassan Khel, North Waziristan district.

Seven terrorists were killed during a fierce exchange of fire; five were killed in Jani Khel and two were killed in the area of North Waziristan. Additionally, weapons and ammo from the terrorists who were murdered were found.

The statement claims that the terrorists who were murdered continued to actively engage in terrorist attacks against law enforcement.

Villagers expressed their appreciation for the operations and full cooperation in eradicating the threat of terrorism from the region.

After terrorists attacked a military installation in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 3, a Pakistan Army soldier chose martyrdom.

After the attack on the military installation, the Pakistan Army personnel launched a rapid response and successfully engaged the terrorists’ location, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Sepoy Imran Khan had embraced martyrdom after a gunfight.

According to the ISPR, security personnel tracked the terrorists’ movements and then confronted them in a fight.

The terrorists were found to have firearms and ammo after engaging in target killing, kidnapping, and extortion in the neighborhood, it was claimed.
