The Supreme Court Judges Rest House was not where PTI Senator Azam Swati stayed during his vacation to Quetta, according to the highest court, which has stated that the senator did not stay there while he claimed that he and his wife were secretly recorded in an inappropriate video.

An emotional Swati, speaking at a news conference in Lahore on Saturday, had disclosed that his wife had received a “obscene video clip” of the couple that was reportedly taken while they visited Quetta.

In a report published on Sunday, the supreme court stated: “It is clarified that Mr. Muhammad Azam Swati never used or stayed in Supreme Court Judges Rest House at Quetta.”

Swati reportedly remained at the Balochistan Judicial Academy, which is independent of the Pakistani Supreme Court, during the aforementioned visit, as per the Special Branch, Balochistan.

According to the official response, Senator Swati had a news conference that has been making the rounds on “electronic/social media where it is reported that some objectionable footage was shot during his stay at Supreme Court Judicial Lodges, Quetta.”

According to the statement, the Supreme Court Judges Rest House is located in Quetta and is intended for usage by current and previous judges of the top court. It is run and monitored by the Registrar’s Office Supreme Court of Pakistan in Islamabad.

The PTI Senator described his ordeal, claiming that his wife had contacted him on Friday night and was yelling and sobbing. Then, according to Swati, he reportedly told his daughter to ask her mother what the issue was.

He said that his wife only admitted receiving a private video of him from an “unknown number” when his daughter demanded it at a press appearance.

He began to cry and paused, saying “Because the daughters and granddaughters of my country are listening, I cannot say any further.”

Swati claimed that he told his crying daughter on the other end of the phone that her mother didn’t quite understand that he goes to bed at nine o’clock and rises early to pray.

“I have spent my entire life with her. She doesn’t know that a few days ago, on the morning of October 13, when I was picked up by these cruel people, they made a video of me. These days it isn’t difficult to… make a fake video.”

He claimed that his wife was also featured in the video, which his daughter had just disclosed to him while sobbing.

The senator sobbed, “I asked her how it is possible,” before asking her. He continued by saying that his daughter had also informed him that the footage was from a trip to Quetta by Swati and his wife.

When asked about the visit, he recalled how the respectable Senate Chairperson Sadiq Sanjrani had arranged for them to stay at the Supreme Court’s judicial quarters in Quetta. “You (Sanjrani) made arrangements there to protect an elder senator and your aunt (Swati’s wife). And you told me that I will stay there as there were no Supreme Court judges in Quetta.”

Balochistan Judicial Academy disagreed with the Special Branch report and said that it lacked “accommodation/rest house” facilities in reaction to the Supreme Court’s declaration.
