Some TV sources claim that Mr. Tarar submitted his resignation due to “anti-establishment shouts” made on Sunday during the Asma Jahangir Conference in Lahore.
His resignation hasn’t been accepted, though, thus far.
Additionally, it was said that the law minister was under intense criticism for having voted in favor of a number of “younger justices” who were being promoted to the Supreme Court alongside Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial.
At the Asma Jahangir Conference, Mr. Tarar served as the keynote speaker. During his remarks, some of the attendees screamed anti-establishment sentiments.
