On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tested positive for the coronavirus for the third time.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister for Information, stated on her official Twitter account that the premier had been ill for two days and took the Covid-19 test today on a doctor’s recommendation.

For Shehbaz to recover quickly, she requested people and party workers to pray for his speedy recovery.

The PM has tested positive for the virus for the third time. Earlier this year in January and again in June of 2020, he was diagnosed with coronavirus.

Last week, the prime minister visited London and postponed leaving because of health. On Monday, he returned to Pakistan.

The prime minister, according to claims, had spent two extra days in London. His family advised him not to travel because he had a slight fever just before leaving the airport.

The prolonged stay in London of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his key advisers, ostensibly to consult with his older brother Nawaz Sharif on the appointment of the army chief and other matters of national importance, added to the ambiguity and sparked rumours about it.

Last week, Shehbaz went to London after attending the COP27 Summit in Egypt.
