Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, claimed on Sunday that the establishment had not learned from its errors and that "political engineering" was still being practised in the nation.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), suggested on Sunday that political scheming might be used in advance of this year’s general elections.

Using a video link from his home in Lahore, Khan spoke to a PTI women’s convention in Karachi and declared that “attempts will be put into bringing PML-N to Punjab.”

“Unfortunately, I worry that our institution has not taken lessons from the past. As he alluded to the reported merger of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s divisions and Balochistan Awami Party members joining the PPP, he stated, “Today, we are seeing political engineering being conducted.

Imran claimed that similar attempts to weaken the PTI were being made to instal the PML-N in the government in Punjab while a “different game” was being played there.

Imran added that the country’s current predicament cannot be resolved with the help of a “weak setup” that was inserted through political engineering. He expressed the same concerns about an alleged technocratic government.

The only way to address the nation’s problems, according to him, was to instal a new administration with a five-year public mandate and the authority to implement “revolutionary measures.”

Free and Fair elections

The former prime minister reaffirmed his demand for free and open elections in the nation while making it clear that he does not require “anyone’s backing” in the election. He said, “We need free and open elections, not anyone’s backing.

Imran Khan also bemoaned the nation’s economic situation and urged for holding free and fair elections as the best way to address the problems.

Following transparent voting, reforms are required. The PTI head criticised the incapacity of the Centre’s ruling alliance, claiming that the PDM’s unskilled leaders “cannot introduce reforms.”

The former premier addressed state institutions, requesting a “real democratic structure” to hold elections, saying: “I tell establishments that this is the time to manage the country. Through voting, we hope to enact a peaceful revolution.”

Speaking to attendees at his party’s conference in the city, Khan stated that because the PDM and establishment have joined, the nation can only support the PTI. “In the past, they would promise that the establishment will arrive and save the nation.”
