Imran Khan claimed that “looters” have dragged the nation to the brink of default while speaking with a group from the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) at his Zaman Park mansion in Lahore.

“Political stability is a prerequisite for economic stability in the nation. Additionally, new elections are the best way out of the current economic predicament “added Imran Khan.

He claimed that the opposition coalition opposes early elections because they anticipate losing.

Imran reportedly made an allusion to the military establishment when he claimed that holding elections within three months would be the neutral side’s ultimate test.

The current leaders, according to the former prime minister, lack the skills necessary to revive the faltering economy. If elections are further delayed, “I worry that the nation [may] fail [on its international loans].”

No political figure in this nation, according to Imran, has the guts to overthrow their own government. “In order to restore the economy, I’m willing to sacrifice two provincial administrations.”

His announcement follows his announcement that the assembly for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) would be dissolved on Friday, December 23.

The PTI leader reaffirmed the appeal for “new and fair elections” while speaking to his party’s workers and supporters on Saturday from his home in Lahore’s Zaman Park. He emphasised that the country was drowning because talented workers and professionals were leaving Pakistan in large numbers.

Over 750,000 Pakistanis, according to the former prime minister, departed the nation in the previous seven months.

Imran claimed that in addition to rising unemployment and inflation, foreign trust was eroding. “Loans continue to grow. There was only one solution, which we implemented: raising the nation’s riches. They (the government) lack a strategy.”
